Consumer Guide to Strollers Travel Systems as Strollers

Travel Systems as Strollers

A travel system is nothing more than a deluxe stroller that accommodates an infant carrier or two.

Many travel strollers are sold as "systems." This simply means you buy them with an infant carrier that will attach to the stroller.

At first glance these strollers are more expensive than conventional models. You have to remember however that you are getting an infant carrier AND a stroller. For many parents the investment is worth it.

If you are shopping for a stroller for your first child, a travel system may be a good choice. If you buy a travel system with an accompanying car seat, you won't have to worry about whether your car seat model will accommodate the stroller you buy. Some strollers do allow you to mix and match models, so if you do have a car seat that doesn't rule out a travel system.
